YOUR REASSURANCE
SAFE, CLINICAL SKIN TAG REMOVAL
Skin tag removal is a safe and simple procedure that is undertaken here, at our Oxfordshire Skin Tag Removal Clinic, by our nurse-led team of clinicians.
While some people are naturally more prone to having skin tags than others, it’s not clear why this is the case. If you have more than one tag, you can opt to have more than one tag removed during your treatment session with us. Certain skin tags can look very wartlike, but they are not contagious and won’t return once they have been removed.
Our preferred option for skin tag removal is to have them frozen off. This is known as cryotherapy and is the most convenient option for our clients too. Skin tags can be treated by burning or cutting them off, but at our Oxfordshire skin Tag removal clinic, we will use cryotherapy, or laser.
HOW WART REMOVAL CLINIC CAN HELP
Every skin tag client that visits our Oxfordshire Wart Removal Clinic will have each tag assessed clinically for removal by one of our nursing clinicians. Almost every tag is suitable for removal. Once the tag or tags have been assessed, the nurse will begin treatment. Cryotherapy treatment involves the application of nitrous oxide to the treatment area, using a pen-like precision tool that dispenses nitrous oxide. Also known as N20, nitrous oxide is very cold and it freezes the stalk of the skin tag, which stops blood flow to the skin tag and kills it.
While the pen does not pierce the skin during treatment, you may feel the tool during application. It may feel like the tip of a ballpoint pen touching your skin. When the nurse applies the nitrous oxide, your nurse may apply the device more than once in the same treatment. This can be to treat a skin tag of a particular size. While most tags can be effectively treated in one treatment, larger skin tags may require more treatment in a further session.
Following the procedure, you might experience a tingling sensation in the area of treatment. While it is not painful, you might feel a gently stinging sensation in the treatment area for the rest of the day.
After cryotherapy, you will notice that the skin tag changes colour, getting darker. You may also find that your skin tag is drying out and feeling crustier than before treatment. This is a good sign that shows the tag is dying. A few days on from treatment, the tag will fall off altogether. You may see a small mark where the tag has left your skin. This will go over time. Once healed, you will be able to return to practicing your normal skin care routine.
If you have issues or questions, you’d like to discuss with our nursing team, please contact our Oxfordshire Skin Tag Removal Clinic.

Some people are more prone to skin tags than others, however it is not clear why this might be the case. You may opt to have more than one skin tag removed at a time. Skin tags may sometimes look like warts; however, they are neither contagious and they will not grow back once removed.
Our preferred option – and the most convenient for our clients – is to have skin tags removed via freezing. This process is known as cryotherapy. Skin tags can also be removed by cutting them off or burning them off, however at our clinic, we prefer to use cryotherapy.
